I recently wrapped up a three-day workshop with Hemant, fresh back in India after 25 years away. Chandni Chowk was his first—chaotic, loud, unapologetic. We walked, talked, drank chai, and made photographs. Somewhere in the crowds, I saw him find his rhythm and start trusting his instincts. He went on to make a strong body of work. Watching that shift is exactly why I love teaching.

“Recently, I participated in a three-day one-on-one street photography workshop with Komal Bedi Sohal. Having resided abroad for over 18 years, primarily capturing street photographs in the United States, I felt a bit lost and overwhelmed when I walked the streets of Delhi.
